The Vazhayil Shopping Arcade is right on the main road in Pala, so we see everyone passing by. Down Town has been sitting here for a good while now. It’s a busy spot, especially when the schools let out or when people are coming back from work. The arcade is an older building, and you can definitely feel the history in the walls. We don't have a lot of fancy decor, just some solid shelves and plenty of light so people can see what they're looking at. The rain in Pala can be something else, and during the monsoon, we’re always making sure the floors stay dry because everyone comes in with dripping umbrellas. We know most of our regulars by name. They might stop in just to say hello even if they don't need anything that day. It's a friendly atmosphere. My uncle started this place, and I’ve been helping out since I was a kid. We keep a mix of clothes that suit the local style. Nothing too over the top. Just things that look good and last a while. The traffic on the main road is always loud, but you get used to it after a week. It’s just the sound of the town moving along. We take things as they come and try to keep the shop tidy for whoever walks in next. It’s not about being the biggest store, just about being there for the local folks when they need us.
