Udhavas Jiyamal

Udhavas Jiyamal has been a fixture here in Gumanpura for quite some time now. We usually start the day early, sweeping the front of the shop before the heat really kicks in. It is one of those spots where you know the neighbors by name and you see their kids grow up over the years. We deal with whatever comes our way, mostly just keeping things moving and making sure the shelves aren't empty when someone walks through the door. The street outside has changed a lot since the early days, with more traffic and noise than we used to have. Sometimes it feels like we are just part of the furniture here. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that, just the shop and the counters we have used for years. It gets pretty busy around festival times, and those days are long, but we just get on with it. There isn't much to say about us except that we are here every day except for maybe a few holidays. We talk to the delivery guys, handle the stock, and try to keep things organized, even if it gets a bit cluttered behind the scenes. People stop by for all sorts of reasons, sometimes just to ask for directions or to see what's new. It is a simple way of making a living, and we have gotten used to the rhythm of this place over the seasons.
