Sonamukhi Udyog.

Sonamukhi Udyog is out in Sonamukhi Nagar, near Sangaria Fanta on Salawas Road. This is a bit away from the main city of Jodhpur, so there’s a lot more space and a lot more dust. Our facility is a large shed with a heavy iron gate that stays open during the day. You can hear the sound of the work from the road before you even see the sign. It’s a practical environment. There are no fancy offices here, just a small cabin where we keep the books and take our tea. The ground is mostly hard dirt and concrete, and the sun beats down pretty hard in the afternoons. We have a crew that’s been with us for a long time, and they know the machines better than anyone. It’s a routine of loading and unloading, checking the quality, and making sure the trucks can get in and out without getting stuck. We don’t have a website that’s updated every day or a social media page. We just have our name on the wall and a phone that rings when someone needs something. The air smells like metal and earth. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do. When the day ends, we lock up the gate and head back toward the city. It’s a long drive, but we like the quiet out here on Salawas Road. It feels like we have room to breathe.
