Shree Ram Mava Bhandar

You can find us on the Tallapura Rangbari Main Road. Shree Ram Mava Bhandar has been a part of this neighborhood for a while. We focus on mava and other milk products that people need for their cooking or for making sweets at home. Every morning, the fresh supply comes in and we have to get it ready before the regular customers show up. The shop smells like fresh milk and sugar most of the time. We have large metal containers where we keep the mava, and I spend a lot of time weighing it out for people. During the festival season, it gets incredibly busy and we hardly have time to sit down. People come from all over this side of Kota because they know we get our stock daily. The shop itself is quite simple with a counter and some scales. I usually wear a simple apron and spend my day talking to the people who walk in. The Rangbari road is always full of noise from the cars and bikes, but inside it’s just the sound of the fans and the refrigerator humming. We don't do any big advertising; we just stay open and serve whoever comes through the door. It’s a lot of work handling dairy because it doesn't stay fresh long, so we have to be very careful with everything. My father always said that if you keep the shop clean and the product fresh, people will always come back, so that is what I do.
