Shiv General Store

Shiv General Store is located in the Nayapura area of Kota, right near the Police Thana. Kota is a place where a lot of students and families live, so we see a good mix of people in our shop. We carry things like notebooks, pens, snacks, and all the usual household items. It’s a busy spot because the police station is right there and there is always something happening on the street. We’ve been here for a few years now, and the shop is just a basic room filled with shelves from floor to ceiling. It can get a bit dusty with all the traffic outside, but we try to keep things clean enough. We aren't trying to be a supermarket; we are just a local general store. Most of our customers are people who live just a few minutes away. We know what they usually buy, so we try to keep those things in stock. Sometimes the deliveries are late, and we have to tell people to come back tomorrow, which is just how it goes sometimes. We don't have any fancy signs or big lights. It’s just us, working through the day and making sure we have what people need. It’s a quiet life in a loud city, and we are happy to be a part of the Nayapura neighborhood. We keep an old radio playing in the corner to pass the time between customers.
