Pritam General Store

You can find Pritam General Store in Jawahar Nagar Javahar Nagar. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a while, and it’s mostly just a place for people in the neighborhood to grab the things they forgot at the bigger markets. We stock a bit of everything, from notebooks and pens for the students to soaps and snacks for the houses nearby. Jawahar Nagar is a busy residential area, so we see a lot of different people throughout the day. The shop is pretty packed with inventory, and we use every bit of shelf space we have. Sometimes it feels a little cramped when there are more than three people inside at once. We don't have a fancy billing system; we just write things down in a ledger and use a small calculator. The floor is made of old stone and it’s seen a lot of foot traffic over the years. We spend a good portion of our morning just dusting the packets and making sure everything is where it should be. It’s a quiet kind of life, even with the noise of the street outside. We don't do any advertising or anything like that because everyone who lives around here already knows where we are. We just keep the doors open and wait for whoever needs a loaf of bread or a new lightbulb. It’s a very straightforward way to earn a living and we like the routine. It keeps us busy most days.
