Manak Mandir

Manak Mandir is located right in the middle of Rampura Bazar. This market is old and the streets are narrow, so it’s always a squeeze to get through. We’ve been operating out of this spot for quite a while. Every morning, the market wakes up with a lot of noise. We open the shutters and start setting things up. It’s a lot of routine. Sweep the floor, dust the counters, and wait for the first customer. Rampura Bazar is the kind of place where people come for everything they need. We see the same faces every week. It’s a small shop, so things can get a bit cramped when it's busy. We don't have air conditioning or anything fancy, just a few ceiling fans that work when they want to. Most of our day is spent talking to people from the neighborhood. They stop by to see what’s new or just to say hello. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don't use any high-tech systems here. Everything is done by hand, from writing down sales to counting the change. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. The bazar has its own rhythm, and we’re just a small part of it. Sometimes it gets overwhelming with the crowds, but you get used to it after a few years. We just keep our heads down and keep the shop running as best we can.
