Kumar Provision & General Store

Our store is on Udyog Marg in Indra Gandhi Nager. It is a general store, so we try to keep a bit of everything that a family might need suddenly. We have the usual stuff like flour, tea leaves, salt, and spices. Then we also have things like notebooks for school kids, pens, buckets, and plastic brooms. It is a bit of a mix. The shelves are packed tight, and sometimes things get pushed to the back where we forget about them for a bit. It is a local neighborhood shop, so we see the same faces every single day. We know who wants which brand of tea and who usually asks for credit until the end of the month. We don't use any fancy computer systems for billing; we just write things down in a diary or on small slips of paper. It gets busy in the evenings when people are coming home from work and stop by to pick up vegetables or milk. The shop is a bit dim because the building is old, but we like it here. It’s a place where you can hear the local gossip and find out what’s happening in the colony. We aren't trying to be a big supermarket, just a reliable place where the neighbors can get their groceries and have a quick chat before they head home to cook dinner. It's nothing special but it's our shop.
