About Krishna Art & Glass – Housewares & Supplies in Kota
Over here at Krishna Art & Glass on Rangpur Road, things stay pretty busy most of the time. We deal with glass all day, so you have to be careful where you step. There’s dust on most of the shelves, but that’s just how a workshop is. I’ve been working on Rangpur Road for years now and I can tell you the road gets really dusty in the afternoons when the wind picks up. The shop has big windows, but we usually have them covered with frames or glass samples. It's not a showroom where everything is shiny and perfect. It's a place where work actually happens. My hands are usually a bit dirty by lunch. We take a break when we can get one. Sometimes customers have to wait a bit if we're in the middle of a difficult cut. We don't have a fancy waiting area, just a couple of plastic chairs that have seen better days. It gets hot in the summer because the fans aren't the best, but we're used to it. The neighbors sometimes bring over tea in the morning. We’ve known the guys next door for a long time. Rangpur Road is a good spot for us because people know where to find us. We don't spend much time on the computer or making things look perfect for pictures. We just handle the glass and make sure it gets where it needs to go. That's about it for us.
