Kisan Traders

Our place, Kisan Traders, is located right over by Kota Junction. If you know the area, you know how hectic it gets with the trains and the trucks moving through all the time. Being near the station means there is always something happening. We spend most of our time dealing with bags of grain and other supplies that come in from the farms. It’s a lot of lifting and moving stuff around the warehouse. The air always smells a bit like jute bags and dry earth. We don’t have a big office or anything like that. Just a desk where we keep the registers and a few chairs for when people stop by to talk business. Most of the people we deal with are farmers or transporters who have been coming to us for a long time. They pull up their trucks, we check the load, and then we figure out where it needs to go next. Sometimes the weather makes things hard, like when it rains and we have to rush to keep everything dry under the tin roof. Kota Junction is a noisy spot, but we’ve gotten used to the sound of the whistles and the engines. It’s just how things are here. We show up every morning, unlock the big doors, and start moving the stock. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do.
