Karam Singh Commission Agent

My name is Karam Singh and I have been working as a commission agent at Aerodrome Circle, specifically at number 77. This is where all our business happens, right near the heart of the busy circle. It involves a lot of talking on the phone and meeting with different people who are either bringing in goods or looking to buy them. The office we work out of is quite plain and simple, with just a couple of old desks, some heavy wooden chairs, and a lot of paperwork piled up in various corners. We don't have any air conditioning in here, just a large ceiling fan that tends to wobble quite a bit when we turn it up to the highest setting. The noise coming from Aerodrome Circle is constant and loud, with trucks and bikes going around the loop all day long. You eventually get used to the sound and don't even notice it after a few months. I spend most of my working day keeping track of the accounts and making sure that every deal goes through as it should. It’s not a very fancy or glamorous job, but it is what we have been doing for a long time. My assistant stays busy with the main ledger while I talk to the various traders. We drink several cups of tea every day, usually brought over from the small stall across the street. It keeps us going.
