Jay General Store

You can find Jay General Store right in the heart of Bahadur Bazaar in Kota. This is an old part of the city and the market is always full of life. We are not far from the Kota H O, so it is a central spot for many people. Our shop is a basic general store where we keep all the things a household might need on a daily basis. We have grains, soaps, spices, and other small items. Kota is known for all the students who come here, and we see quite a few of them stopping by for snacks or supplies for their rooms. The bazaar is narrow and can get very congested with rickshaws and bikes, which makes deliveries a bit difficult sometimes. We have to carry the sacks in by hand when the trucks can't get close enough. It’s just the way things work here in the old market. We don't have any modern checkout counters or bright lights. It's just wooden shelves and a simple counter where we weigh the goods. We've been at this address in Rajasthan for years now. Most of the other shopkeepers around here are our friends. It is a lot of hard work standing on your feet all day, but we enjoy talking to the people who walk through our doors. We try to keep our stock fresh and the shop open late for those who work long hours.
