Hasan Bhai Mulla Rehmatulla Ji

Hasan Bhai Mulla Rehmatulla Ji is the name on our shop sign in Bahadur Bazar. It is a long name because it has been in the family for a long time. Bahadur Bazar is one of those old parts of Kota where the lanes are narrow and everything feels very traditional. We have been operating from this same spot for years and years. My father and his father were here before me. The shop is filled with things we have collected over time and it smells like old wood and paper. People walk past the shop all day and we shout out greetings to the ones we recognize. It is a noisy place but we are used to the sound of the market. We don't have a computer or any fancy machines here. We do everything by hand and keep our notes in thick registers. Hasan Bhai is usually sitting on the floor cushion talking to old friends who stop by for no reason other than to chat. The building is old and the walls could use some fresh paint but it works for what we do. We don't try to be something we are not. It is just a family place where we spend our mornings and evenings. If you come looking for us in the bazar just ask anyone and they will point you to our door.
