Goyal General Store

Goyal General Store is located in the Keshavpura area of Kota, not far from the Ramjanki Mandir. Our shop is a typical neighborhood store where you can get your daily necessities. We have been here for a good number of years. It is a family-run operation, so you will usually see one of us sitting behind the old wooden counter. We do not use computers for everything; a lot of our accounts are still kept in physical registers. The shop isn't very large, but we try to keep it packed with all the essentials like flour, spices, and soaps. Being near the temple, we get a lot of people stopping by after their morning or evening prayers. We try to keep the place as clean as we can, but with the Rajasthan wind, the dust is a constant battle for us. We aren't looking to expand or become a big chain. We just like our spot here near the mandir. We know most of the kids who come in for a single candy or a packet of chips. Sometimes we stay open a bit later if we see people still walking around the street. We do not have any fancy slogans or promises. We just sell what we have at prices that are fair for everyone. It is a simple way to live and work. If we do not have something, we will try to get it from the main market the next day. That is how it works for us.
