Gopal Mava Bhandar

Over here at Gopal Mava Bhandar in Gumanpura, we stay pretty busy with the daily routine. We start very early before the sun is even up to get the fresh milk processed. It is a lot of stirring and watching the heat so nothing burns. Our shop has been in this same spot for years and the locals are used to seeing us here. We don't spend money on posters or fancy signs because everyone already knows where we are. It is mostly regular customers who have been coming to us since they were kids. Sometimes the market gets very noisy and dusty, but inside the shop we just keep to our work. We sell mava to the local sweet shops and also to families who want to cook something nice. It is a simple setup with not much decoration. We try to be fair with everyone who walks through the door. Sometimes we have a chat with the regulars about the news or the weather while they wait. It’s not a corporate type of place at all. Just a regular business run by regular people. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just talk to people face to face. Dealing with dairy means you can't really take many holidays. We are usually here even on Sundays when most other shops are closed up. It's just how we live.
