Galav Fancy & Ganeral Store

Galav Fancy & Ganeral Store is situated right near Aamali House by the Chavani Sabji Mandi on Chhawani Road. Because we are so close to the vegetable market, it is always very noisy and full of life outside our door. You can hear the vegetable sellers shouting and the sound of carts moving all day long. The shop itself is packed with all sorts of small items, from fancy hair clips to basic household goods. We have things hanging from the ceiling and stacked on every shelf. Sometimes it is a bit hard to move around when there are more than two customers inside. I have been running this place with my family for a long time. We know almost everyone who comes through the market. The shop gets quite warm in the summer months because we only have one small ceiling fan that has seen better days. We don't have a computer for billing, so we just use a calculator and give hand-written slips if someone asks. Chhawani Road is a busy place to be, and there is never a dull moment. We start early in the morning when the market opens and we don't close until the sun has been down for a long time. It is a lot of hard work and standing on our feet, but we are used to it by now. It is just a normal general store in a busy corner of town for everyone.
