Computers and mobile phones are always breaking down or slowing over time, so that keeps us quite busy here at number 30 Gumanpura Road. We spend a lot of our time looking at very tiny screws and green circuit boards under a desk lamp. It is a job that requires a lot of sitting down and concentrating, which can be tiring in its own way. People bring in laptops that won't turn on or phones with screens that look like spiderwebs because they were dropped. We tell them straight if the repair is going to be expensive or if it is worth the effort. There is no point in lying about it. Our shop is a bit cluttered with old monitors and stacks of keyboards in the corner. We also do mobile repairs, so the workbench is always full of different devices. Sometimes we are waiting on a specific part to come from another city, and we just have to tell the customer to be patient. It is just a small, practical business run by people who like figuring out how things work. The traffic on Rawatbhata Road is always humming in the background, but we mostly tune it out while we work. We aren't a big service center, just a local repair spot where we try to get things back in working order. We open up in the morning and stay until the work is done.
