Engineer Wocks

Engineer Wocks is located right near the railway station at Kotwali Chok Police Line. It is a busy spot and you can always hear the trains pulling in and out while we work. We have been in this location for a long time and most people know us just by the sound of our hammers hitting metal. The name on the sign is Engineer Wocks, which might look a bit different to some, but it is just who we are. My hands are usually covered in grease by ten in the morning because there is always something that needs fixing or welding. We do not have a fancy office with air conditioning. It is just a workspace filled with old machines that still do the job better than the new ones. The police from the line next door often stop by to say hello or ask for a quick repair on something. We drink a lot of tea from the stall at the corner to keep ourselves going through the heat. It gets quite loud here with the traffic and the station noise, but you get used to it. We do not do big ads or anything like that. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for years. We just take each day as it comes and try to get the metalwork finished for whoever walks through the door. It is a simple life and honest work.
