Our spot here in Talwandi Indra Vihar at S-65 is mostly quiet in the late mornings. The street gets more life in the evenings when the sun goes down and everyone comes out for a walk. The shop name is Colours and we have different things on the hangers and shelves. Sometimes the arrangement looks a bit messy after a busy day, but we straighten it up eventually. The floor is tiled and shows every footprint, so there is a lot of sweeping to do throughout the day. We have a small mirror in the corner that catches the light from the door. People come in to look around, sometimes they buy something and sometimes they just see what is new. We try to keep the racks organized by size but things get mixed up pretty fast. The air conditioner works okay, though it struggles a bit when the afternoon heat is at its worst. There are some cardboard boxes stacked near the trial room that we haven't found a better place for yet. It feels like a small space when there are more than four people inside at once. We usually have the radio playing low in the background, just some local station to fill the silence. Living and working in this part of Kota means seeing a lot of students passing by with their heavy backpacks. We just stay here doing our thing and watching the street change as the months go by.
