Black Pearl

If you go down into Palika Bazar in the City Mall, you’ll find us at unit B12. It’s a small space, but we make it work. Black Pearl is tucked away in Sarai Kayasthan, which is a busy area most days of the week. The lights in the mall stay on all day, so we don't always know what time it is outside until we leave. We spend a lot of time just arranging the items on the shelves. It can get a bit cramped in B12 when a few people come in at once. We usually have a radio playing somewhere in the back. The neighbors in the other shops are friendly enough. We’ve been at this address for a while now. Some days are slow, and we just sit and watch the people walking by in the mall corridors. Other days we barely have time to sit down. We try to keep things tidy, but boxes tend to pile up near the back door. It’s a typical shop life. We are just doing what needs to be done. Sarai Kayasthan is a lively part of the city, and being in Palika Bazar means we see all sorts of people. We’ve grown used to the hum of the air conditioning and the sound of footsteps on the mall floors. It’s our little corner of the world. We usually close up right when the mall lights start to dim. It's a long day, but we've got a good system going.
