Bajaj Genral Store

Down by the Ravan Gate in Chomu, you will find our little shop. We go by the name Bajaj Genral Store, though many people around this neighborhood still call us the Bajaj Book Depot because that is how we first started out. It is just a local shop, nothing more and nothing less than that. We have been at this spot near the gate for years, just watching the traffic and the people go by every day. Chomu is the kind of place where everyone knows everyone else, and we are just one of the regular shops on the street. We stock the usual things that people need for their day-to-day lives. We do not have a big marketing plan or a website with lots of buttons. If you need something, you just walk in through the front door and ask us for it. Sometimes we have it right there, and sometimes we do not, but we usually try to get it for you if we can. The shop is often a bit cluttered, but that is only because we try to fit as much as possible into a small space. It is just how a general store works in a place like this. My family has been involved in running this for a long time. We are not some big chain from the city. We open up early, sweep the front step, and wait for the regulars to stop by for their supplies or just a chat. Finding us is pretty easy once you reach the gate area.
