R K Events & Entertainment is based right in Gumanpura, Kota. It’s a busy area and we have been operating from here for some time. We spend most of our nights at different venues around the city, usually setting up stages or checking the sound. Kota gets really hot during the day, so a lot of our work happens late or very early when it is cooler. We handle all sorts of gatherings, from small family things to bigger parties. Our office in Gumanpura is where we keep the decorations and the sound equipment when it’s not being used. It’s often a mess of wires and fabric rolls, but we know where everything is. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few local guys who know how to haul heavy boxes and get lights working. Sometimes the power goes out or a speaker starts buzzing, and we have to scramble to fix it on the spot. That’s just how this business goes. We don’t spend much time on fancy talk, we just focus on getting the tents up and making sure the music plays. People around here know us because we’ve been at it for a while. It’s hard work, especially during the wedding season when sleep is hard to come by, but we keep showing up every day. We are just local people trying to make a living in the event trade here in Rajasthan. It gets tiring but we enjoy being part of the local scene here in Kota.
