Out here in Champa, specifically along Boloda Road, things can get pretty dusty because of the nature of the mineral business. Shri Ganesh Minerals has been operating from this spot in the Janjgir district for a good while. It is a rugged kind of work. We spend a lot of time dealing with the logistics of moving things around and making sure everything is accounted for. The weather gets really intense during the summer months, so we start our days early to beat the heat as much as possible. Our office isn't anything to look at twice, just a functional space with some chairs and a sturdy table. You’ll see the trucks coming and going all day long. That is the rhythm of our life here. We know the local drivers and the people who live nearby. It is a close-knit community in this part of the district. We don't have a marketing department or anything like that. Most of our work comes from people who know us or have heard about us from someone else. We just focus on the minerals and the daily operations. It’s a lot of manual tracking and checking. When the sun goes down, we lock up and head home, ready to do the same thing tomorrow. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy enough.
