Indo Sponge Steel & Power Pvt. Ltd., Korba(C.G.)

Our place is in Korba, specifically at Ne-155 in the Cseb Colony East area. It’s near Kosabadi. Indo Sponge Steel & Power Pvt. Ltd. is a bit of a mouthful of a name, but we just call it the office or the yard. We deal with steel and power stuff, which means there’s a lot of heavy lifting and technical talk going on. The Cseb Colony is a familiar spot for many people around here. It’s not a retail shop, so we don't get many walk-ins, mostly just contractors and our own staff. The office gets a bit hot in the summer, but we have some fans going to keep the air moving. There are posters of machinery on the walls and stacks of ledgers on the tables. We’ve been part of the Korba landscape for quite some time now. Working with steel is tough and can be dirty, but it's what we know how to do. We spend a lot of time checking on the power side of things too. It's a lot of responsibility to keep everything running. Sometimes the phone rings all day long and it feels like we can't catch a break. We just take it one task at a time and get through the list. The neighborhood is mostly residential around the colony, so it’s relatively quiet outside our gate compared to the plant. We keep things simple and try to do our jobs right without making a big fuss.
