This place is located in the NTPC Colony over in Jamnipali, which is part of Korba in Chhattisgarh. My name is Hitesh Kochar and I handle things here at C 915 in Krishna Vihar. It is a busy industrial area, as anyone who lives in Korba can tell you. Being part of the Balco division under Sterlite and the Vedanta Group means there is always something going on. The colony itself is where a lot of us live and work, so it feels like a small town within a city. You see the same people at the local shops and on the roads every day. My office is basically just a room where I keep track of everything that needs doing. It can get quite hot in this part of India, so we spend a lot of time making sure the fans are running. The address might seem long when you write it out, but once you are in Jamnipali, finding Krishna Vihar isn't too tough. We don't have any fancy decorations or big corporate displays in this particular office. It is a working space, plain and simple. We deal with the day-to-day stuff that keeps the bigger operations moving. It is a lot of paperwork and phone calls, typical for this kind of industrial setting. We just keep our heads down and get through the list of tasks for the day.
