Over at E-2/5 in V.V.Nagar, the shop stays pretty busy most of the time. Working here at Sasec Engineering Pvt. Ltd. means dealing with a lot of noise and heavy things. Toranagallu is an industrial kind of place anyway, so we fit right in with the surroundings. The floor is usually covered in some kind of metal shavings or oil, no matter how much we try to sweep it out in the afternoons. It’s not a quiet office job. We have our tools and our machines, and that’s what we focus on. Most of us have been here long enough that we don't even notice the sound of the equipment anymore. We get our tea from the small stall down the road and usually drink it while looking over the drawings or checking the parts that just arrived. There isn't any big corporate philosophy here, we just show up and do the engineering work that’s on the schedule. Some days are longer than others, especially when a machine acts up or a delivery is late, but that's just part of the life here. The walls are a bit stained and the ceiling fans wobble a little, but the work gets finished. It’s a practical place for people who don't mind getting their hands a bit dirty to get the job done right. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with whatever comes in next.
