The Indian Institute Of Hardware And Networking is located in the Gokula area of Mangalore. We are right opposite the Hindustan Lever Ltd building in Tilak Nagar, Boloor. It is an easy landmark to give people. Our workspace is filled with old computer parts, cables, and various tools. It’s definitely not a showroom. We have wires running across the ceiling and plenty of screwdrivers lying around on the benches. It is a bit messy, but we know exactly where everything is. The staff here are mostly local folks from Mangalore. We've been in this spot for a long time. The sea air from Boloor can be a bit salty, so we have to clean the equipment often. We don't have a corporate dress code; we just wear what is comfortable for crawling under desks and fixing things. Usually, we have a pot of tea going in the back room. The building we are in is quite old and has those heavy wooden doors. We like the character of the place. It feels solid. We don't go in for big advertisements or anything flashy. People mostly find us through word of mouth or by seeing us across from Hindustan Lever. It’s a honest day's work for us. We just keep tinkering with the hardware and making sure the networks stay up. It’s what we know how to do. We are just here in Gokula every day, keeping the machines running.
