You’ll see us on Ambedkar Road in Chamraj Nagar, right at building 3-6-521. It’s a busy stretch of road, so parking can be a bit of a nightmare sometimes. We have electronics on one side and hardware on the other, though the lines get blurred quite a bit. You might find a light bulb sitting next to a hammer if we’ve had a hectic morning. The shelves are crowded with all sorts of bits and bobs, from tiny screws to lengths of electrical wire. We try to keep things in order, but when three customers come in at once asking for different things, it gets a little chaotic. The building is an older one, so the lights flicker sometimes, but we know which switch to jiggle to fix it. We don't really have a big staff, just a couple of us who have learned where everything is stored over the years. People from the neighborhood stop in for all sorts of small repairs or just to buy a replacement battery. We spend a lot of time standing behind the counter, chatting with whoever walks through the door. It’s a dusty job, especially when we’re moving the heavy hardware stuff around. We just try to make sure we have what people are looking for so they don't have to drive all the way across town.
