Waiter

Our place is down in Jonakapuram, right near the water in Kollam. The name on the door is Waiter, and we’ve been operating out of Thanghal Arriyykham Puryyadam for some time now. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but the breeze from the coast makes it a decent place to spend the day. We don't have any polished marble floors or expensive lighting here. It’s just a practical space where we can get things done. The neighborhood is very old and the buildings are close together, so you always hear what’s going on next door. We spend a lot of our time just managing the day-to-day stuff and making sure everything is in its place. It can get pretty busy during certain hours, and we just have to keep our heads down and work. The floor is concrete and the walls have a few cracks, but it’s sturdy enough for us. We see a lot of local people passing through, and we try to keep things friendly without being too formal about it. It’s not the kind of place you’d find in a brochure, but it’s where we are every single day. We don't have any big promises to make, we just show up and do what needs doing until it’s time to lock up and head home for the night. That’s just the way it goes for us here in Jonakapuram.
