Veesix Garments

We spend most of our time here at Veesix Garments dealing with piles of fabric and sewing machines. The factory is located in Puthensanketham Koivila, which is a quiet enough spot most days until the machines start up. People around here know us as the place where the clothes get made. It isn't a fancy setup by any means. We have rolls of cloth coming in and finished pieces going out in boxes. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when a big order is due, and we're all stepping over each other to get things moved. The floor is usually covered in thread scraps. We’ve been at this address for a while now, just doing the work that needs doing. It’s mostly about keeping the needles moving and making sure the electricity doesn’t cut out at the wrong time. If you walk past the gate, you’ll probably hear the hum of the motors. We don’t have a big front office or a receptionist to greet you. It's just a workspace where the actual production happens. Most of the staff live nearby, so we just walk or cycle in. We keep a kettle in the corner for tea breaks because that’s how we get through the long afternoons. It's a simple operation. We focus on the stitches and the measurements. There isn't much more to say about it. We’re just a local garment unit trying to keep up with the daily schedule and making sure the packing is done right before the trucks arrive.
