Sree Narayana Institute Of Ayurvedic Studies & Research

Down in Karimpinpuzha, specifically at R Sankar Nagar, you’ll find the Sree Narayana Institute Of Ayurvedic Studies & Research. It’s part of the Sree Narayana Health Care Society. We’ve been here in Pangode Puthur for quite some time now. The building is large and has that old feel to it, which suits what we do here. It’s a place for learning and also for looking into things deeply. We have students coming in and out all day, carrying books and talking about traditional methods. It’s not a quiet library type of place; there’s always something happening, whether it's a lecture or someone working on research. We are located near the Karimpinpuzha P. O., so it’s easy for people to find us once they get into the area. The halls are wide and usually smell a bit like the herbs we use. We don't go in for fancy decorations or branding. The focus is just on the studies and the work at hand. Most of us who work here have been doing this for years. We see people from all over who are interested in how these old ways can still help today. It’s a lot of reading, a lot of practicing, and a lot of just being present. It’s a busy life here in Karimpinpuzha, but it feels like we are doing something that actually matters to the people who live in this part of the country.
