Gtec Chithara Centre

We are based in Chithara, right on the Varkala Madathara Road in Kollam. The office is part of Sequa Technologies, and it’s a place where people come to learn computer skills and other technical things. It is not a very big space, but we have enough room for the workstations and a small reception area. Since we are on a main road, you can often hear the sound of buses and cars passing by throughout the day. In Kerala, we get a lot of rain, so sometimes the sound on the roof is quite loud while people are trying to practice on the keyboards. The interior is simple, with some posters on the walls and chairs lined up for the students. Most people who come here are from the local neighborhood or nearby villages, looking to pick up some new skills after they finish their regular school or work. We spend a lot of time troubleshooting the internet or making sure the electricity backup is working, as power cuts can be a bit of a problem sometimes. It is a practical environment where the main goal is just to sit down and get the work done. The staff is usually busy helping someone with a login or explaining a simple task. We don’t have fancy lounges or anything like that, just a row of computers and some desks where people can study their manuals in peace.
