M/s Hanaan Abaya

We are set up near the South Indian Bank, right by the SN College Junction. It is a busy intersection and there is always something happening outside our windows. We specialize in abayas and similar garments at M/s Hanaan Abaya. It is a specific kind of work that requires a lot of attention to the fabric and the drape. We started this because there was a need for it in the local neighborhood. Now we have people coming from further away. The shop isn't very large. We have the fabric displayed in the front and the sewing happens in the back. It is a bit of a tight squeeze when we have a lot of customers. We do not have a professional decorator. We just put things where they fit. The staff is mostly local women who know exactly how these garments should look and feel. We do not use a lot of corporate language. We just tell you how long it will take and what it will cost. Sometimes we get behind on orders when a machine breaks down, but we always call and let people know. It is a personal way of doing business. We like being near the college junction because there is always life and energy around. We have been here for a few years and hope to stay for many more. It is just us, some fabric, and a lot of hard work every day.
