Kanjirathim Mooottil Iron & Steel

Our shop is on Paravoor Road in Paripally, and you can’t really miss the stacks of iron out front. Kanjirathim Mooottil Iron & Steel is a family-run kind of place, and we’ve been here for quite some time now. The road outside can get quite busy with buses and cars going toward the main town, but we stay focused on what’s happening in our yard. We deal with a lot of iron and steel, mostly for local house construction and small repairs. The yard is usually a bit of a jumble, but we know exactly where everything is located. It’s heavy work, and by the time evening rolls around, everyone is pretty tired. We have a small desk where we keep the ledger and the calculator, and there is usually a pot of tea going somewhere. We don't have any fancy websites or big billboards. Most of our work comes from people who live nearby and have known our family for years. Sometimes we run out of a particular size of rod, and we have to wait for the next truck to arrive from the city. We just take things as they come. If the rain is heavy, we take a break and wait for it to pass. It’s a simple way of doing business, just providing the iron and steel that people need for their homes without any complicated talk.
