Giacca & Abito Sartoriale Fashion Private Limited is a long name, I know. We are located at Kuzhikkanathu Veedu in Valiyakavu Nagar, which is over in Kureepuzha, near the Kavanadu post office. It’s a quiet spot compared to the main city areas. We mostly do tailoring and fashion work right here. It’s a very traditional way of working, focusing on the details of how a suit or a piece of clothing is put together. We don't have a big factory. Instead, it’s more about the individual pieces we work on. The name sounds fancy, but we are just regular people who know how to sew and cut fabric. My family has lived in this area for a long time. Working from a house like Kuzhikkanathu Veedu makes the whole business feel more personal. We don’t have a big glossy brochure or anything. People usually find us through word of mouth around Kavanadu. We spend hours at the cutting table, making sure the lines are just right. Sometimes the thread breaks or a customer changes their mind, but that’s part of the trade. We just want to make things that fit well. It’s a lot of sitting and focusing on small stitches. When the sun goes down over Kureepuzha, we usually finish up and get ready for the next day. It’s a slow, steady kind of life here, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
