About West Bengal Printers Association – Event & Planning in Kolkata
West Bengal Printers Association is over at 32/A, Creek Lane. This is a very old part of Kolkata, and the lane itself is quite narrow. You might miss it if you aren't looking closely. We have been in this building for many years. It has a certain smell of old paper and ink that stays with you. We aren't a big business; we are an association for people who run print shops across the state. Most of our days are spent talking to members about their problems or organizing small meetings. The furniture is old wood, and the ceiling fans have been spinning for decades. It’s a very traditional atmosphere. We don't have a lot of modern gadgets, just what we need to get by. People from the printing trade drop in to share news or ask for advice. We usually have some tea and sit around the main table. It’s a quiet place compared to the main roads of Kolkata. We don't try to make things look more impressive than they are. It’s just a space for printers to feel at home. There is a lot of history in these walls, and we try to respect that. It’s a simple, honest place where the work gets done without any unnecessary fuss or fancy language. We've seen a lot of changes in the industry, but this office stays pretty much the same through the years.
