Situated at 59A Matheswartala Road, Venkateswara Lifestyle Private Limited is on the first floor right across from the Kim Ling restaurant. If you know China Town in Kolkata, you know the area well. It has a very specific feel to it, with the narrow roads and the old buildings. Our office is pretty simple. There are some desks and a lot of samples lying around. The smells of the local food from the nearby restaurants often drift in through the windows. It’s a lively place to be. Dealing with lifestyle items keeps us busy every day. Being in China Town means we are surrounded by a lot of history and other small businesses. Sometimes the traffic on the road gets backed up, especially during the lunch hour. No big corporate signs here, just a small board at the entrance. It’s a local business through and through. The staff knows the area well and we often just walk down the street to grab tea or talk to neighbors. Not the most modern office in the city, but it works for us. We just keep our heads down and focus on the daily tasks at hand without making a big deal out of it. We are just a small group of people working together in this corner of the city, trying to make things work out for everyone who stops by.
