We’ve been running Universal Construction Machinerys And Equipments Limited out of our place at Siddhartha Apartment in New Alipore for a while now. It’s a busy spot in Block J of Sahapur Colony, and you can usually find us there sorting out various machines for different projects. We handle a lot of heavy gear, the kind of stuff that actually builds things, so our days are pretty full with scheduling and making sure things get where they need to go. It’s not a fancy office, just a practical space where we get the paperwork done and talk to folks about what they need for their sites. People around New Alipore know us as the ones dealing with the big equipment. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic with all the phone calls and logs, but that is just how the construction business goes. We don't really do the big sales pitches. Instead, we just focus on the machines we have and whether they are ready for work. If you walk past the colony, you might see us coming and going. The building is easy to find once you are in the J Block area. We’ve stayed here because it’s a good community and central enough for our staff to get to. There is always something needing repair or a new order coming in for a mixer or a crane. We just keep our heads down and keep the equipment moving out to the sites that need them.
