Bajrang Road Construction Pvt. Ltd. operates from the second floor of the Industry building in Poddar Court. Our office at 55 A is where all the planning and the boring side of construction happens. While the real work is out on the roads with the bitumen and the heavy rollers, this is where we look at maps and try to figure out the schedules. Poddar Court is a very crowded place, and just getting up to the second floor can be a struggle some mornings when the elevators are slow. Inside, the office is full of blueprints and samples of stone and gravel. We have a few computers that we use for the official stuff, but there are still plenty of hand-written notes scattered around. It is a bit of a contrast being in a city office while our hearts are really out on the job sites where the actual roads are being built. We spend a lot of time on the phone with site supervisors and trying to make sure the materials are arriving on time. Construction is a messy business, and even in our office, you can sometimes find a bit of grit or dust that followed us back from a site visit. We have been in this industry for a long time, and we just keep pushing forward, one project at a time, without making too much of a fuss about it.
