You can find us at 37C, Jheel Road in Dhakuria. It’s a narrow road and can be quite a squeeze when two cars try to pass each other. Our building is one of those old Dhakuria structures with thick walls and high ceilings. At Topgrip Indus Instruments Pvt. Ltd., we work on industrial instruments, specifically things related to gripping and holding tools. It’s heavy work. The floor is concrete and usually has some scuff marks from moving equipment around. There is a small pond nearby, hence the name Jheel Road, and sometimes you can hear the birds if the machines aren't running too loud. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s mostly just engineers and technicians sitting around a big table talking about designs. We get our supplies from the local markets when we can. The commute here involves a lot of walking if you take the train to Dhakuria station, but we don't mind the exercise. Most of the people working here live in the southern part of the city. We have a small kitchen area where we heat up our tiffins at lunchtime. The smell of mustard oil and fish often fills the air around 1 PM. It's a very grounded place. We don't put on any acts. We just make sure the industrial tools we produce are solid and do what they are supposed to do for the people who buy them.
