The Times Group

Our office is tucked away at Da-104 in Salt Lake Sector-1. If you know Kolkata, you know Salt Lake is a bit more organized than the rest of the city, which helps when things get fast-paced here. This is where a lot of the daily grind happens for The Times Group. We deal with news, ads, and all the stuff that goes into the papers and media. It’s a lot of typing, a lot of proofreading, and quite a bit of shouting across the room when a deadline is coming up. The building isn't anything too special, just a solid place to work. We have people coming in at all hours because the news doesn't really stop for anyone. Sometimes the tea stall outside is the busiest part of our day. We spend a lot of time looking at screens and talking to reporters who are out in the field. It’s not always pretty, and the desks are usually covered in old newspapers and coffee mugs. We’ve been based in Sector-1 for a good while now. People know where to find us if they have a story or want to talk about an advertisement. It’s just how we do things here. We aren't trying to be fancy, we just need to get the information out. Most days, it’s just about making sure the next edition is ready to go without too many mistakes. It is just a regular office full of regular people working.
