The India Today Group

We are based out at 190/1 in Santigarh. It is near the P.O. Shyamnagar and the pin is 743127. This is in the 24 Pgs (N) district, so it is a bit away from the main Kolkata city noise. The India Today Group has this branch here for handling various things. It is an old building with a lot of character, though it could probably use a new coat of paint. Inside, you will see stacks of papers and magazines. There is a specific smell of ink and old paper that stays in the air. We don't have fancy glass partitions. It is mostly open desks where people sit and go through their daily tasks. The area of Santigarh is pretty quiet, which helps when you have to focus on reading or writing. We aren't using any big marketing words to describe ourselves. We are just a working office in a suburban area. Sometimes the delivery trucks come by early in the morning to drop off supplies. The staff here is mostly local people who live nearby. We walk or take a rickshaw to get to the office. It’s a very grounded way to work for such a big name. We don't have a cafeteria, so we usually bring our own lunch or get something from the small stalls nearby. It is just a regular day-to-day operation for us.
