The Advanced Dental Clinic

You can find us at 6/38 B Ground Floor in Bijoygarh. The Advanced Dental Clinic is right near the Gandhi Colony Gate. It’s a ground floor spot, which is handy because people don’t have to climb any stairs to get inside. Bijoygarh-Jadavpur is a busy neighborhood in Kolkata, so there’s always something happening outside the windows. We can hear the rickshaws and the street noise all day long. The clinic itself is just a few rooms. We have the main dental chairs and a small area for people to wait. It’s painted a light blue, which we thought would be relaxing, though some of the paint is peeling near the corners. We do a lot of cleanings and fillings. The smell of the dental materials is pretty strong when you first walk in. We try to keep the magazines in the waiting room somewhat current, but they usually end up being a few months old. The staff consists of just a few of us who have been working together for a long time. We know the local families and their kids who come in. It’s not a high-end luxury place, just a regular dental office where we try to fix teeth and help people with their pain. We stay pretty busy, especially on weekends when everyone is off work. It’s just a normal day-to-day operation here in Kolkata. We’ve been in Bijoygarh long enough that everyone knows the spot.
