Starline Exports

Starline Exports is located in the Dakshinapan area, specifically at G. B. C. 2 Gariahat Road (s) in Dhakuria. If you know the area, you know how busy it gets with shoppers and people just walking around. Our office is tucked away and isn't very large. We spend most of our time dealing with the paperwork involved in sending things out. There are files everywhere and the computer we use is a bit slow, but it gets the job done eventually. We have been here for a while and the staff has stayed pretty much the same. Most of us take the bus or the train to get here. The tea man comes around twice a day and that’s when we usually take a break to talk about things other than work. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, especially when the fans are just moving the warm air around. We handle a lot of different items for export, mostly textiles that come in from the outlying areas. The storage room is usually packed to the ceiling. We don't have a showroom or anything like that because we don't sell to people walking by. It's mostly just phone calls and emails all day long. The building is a bit old and the stairs are steep, but it has a good feel to it. We just keep our heads down and try to stay on top of the schedule. We’ve been in this same spot for years now.
