Speech And Hearing Clinic

Our clinic is located on Rashbehari Avenue, which is a pretty well-known part of town. If you take the metro to Kalighat, you are basically right there. We have been working here for some time now, focusing on speech and hearing issues. It’s a small place, nothing too grand, but we have the equipment we need to test people's hearing. Often, we get older folks who are having a hard time listening to the TV, or parents worried about their kids not talking much yet. We just sit down with them and see what’s going on. The street outside is always loud with the metro station nearby and all the people walking around, but inside it’s relatively quiet so we can do our work. We use some machines for the testing and then we explain what the results mean. It’s a lot of talking and listening, obviously. Sometimes the coffee machine acts up, so we just go out to the local stalls. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us doing our jobs every day. We try to be helpful when someone comes in looking confused. People find us because of the location mostly. It’s a busy area but we’ve gotten used to the pace of Rashbehari Avenue. We’ve seen many changes on this street over the years. We just keep our heads down and help whoever comes through the door looking for some clarity.
