Spanddan Vdis Polyclinic

Our clinic is tucked away at AA-40 in Prafulla Kanan, over in the Krishnapur area. If you are looking for us, you just head down the main road until you hit the Prafulla Kanan turn-off. The building is a standard polyclinic setup, nothing too flashy or modern, just a place where different doctors come in throughout the week. We have a small waiting area with some older plastic chairs that are actually more comfortable than they look. The fan on the ceiling wobbles a little when it is on high, but it keeps the air moving on those hot afternoons. We see all sorts of people coming through the door, from young kids with scrapes to older folks just coming in for their regular checkups. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it is so quiet you can hear the birds outside in the trees. We keep a ledger on the desk to track who comes in because sometimes the computer acts up and we like to have a backup. It is a bit of a walk from the main bus stop, but most people don't seem to mind. The neighborhood is mostly houses, so it feels quite peaceful compared to the city center. We just open the shutters in the morning and stay until the last person is seen. It is a simple way of running things, but it works for us and the people around Krishnapur.
