South Calcutta Decorating Co

We are located at 202, S P Mukherjee Road in the Kalighat area. South Calcutta Decorating Co has been around this neighborhood for quite a long time. People around here know us for setting up for events, though we don't just do one thing. If there is a big gathering or a wedding, we are usually involved in some way, getting the space ready. It’s a bit of a chaotic job sometimes. We have lots of stuff stored at our place on S P Mukherjee Road, from poles to fabric and other things needed for events. It’s not a neat and tidy office, more of a working space where things are constantly moving in and out. Kalighat is always crowded, so getting our equipment through the streets can be a real headache, but we’re used to it by now. We don't really do the whole corporate pitch thing. Most of our clients are neighbors or people who have seen our work at a local temple or hall. We just talk to them, figure out what they need, and get started. Some days we are up very early and some nights we finish very late. It’s tiring work, but it feels good to see a plain space turn into something useful for a party. We aren't looking to change much, just keep doing what we do. We’ve been at 202 S P Mukherjee Road for so long it feels like we are part of the bricks.
