Sonodyne

Sonodyne has been tucked away here in Jodhpur Park for a while now. We are up in Flat 202 of the Pearl Apartments at number 58. It’s a bit unusual for a business like ours to be in an apartment building, but it works for us. It’s much quieter than being right on the main road. When people come to visit, they sometimes get confused by the doorbell, but they find us eventually. Inside, it’s mostly shelves filled with components and testing equipment. We deal with audio and electronics, so there’s usually some kind of speaker or circuit board being worked on at the main table. The light in the flat is actually quite good for detailed work. Kolkata weather can be a bit much, but we have a small AC unit that keeps the equipment from overheating. It’s a small team here. We’ve all known each other for years. We spend our days troubleshooting problems or checking the quality of what we are putting out. It’s not a flashy store where you walk in and see everything on display. It’s more of a workspace where the real work happens. Sometimes we lose track of time and find ourselves still working when the sun starts to set over the park. It’s a steady pace, and we like the neighborhood feel of Jodhpur Park. We have been here for years and know most of the neighbors now.
