Surveillance Engineering Co. is located at 60/3, Panchanantala Road in Kolkata. We’ve been working out of this part of the city for a long time. Our work is all about engineering and security systems, so we deal with a lot of wiring, cameras, and technical setups. Kolkata is a crowded place, and Panchanantala Road is no exception. There’s always noise from the street coming through the windows, mostly horns and people talking. We spend a lot of our time out on sites or here in the shop putting together different configurations. It’s the kind of work that requires a bit of patience and a lot of troubleshooting when things don't connect right. We don't have a big corporate office with glass walls; it’s more of a workshop feel where we keep our tools and parts in bins. Some days are spent entirely on the road, going from one place to another to get things installed properly. We’ve seen the technology change quite a bit since we started, and we just try to keep up with it as best as we can. It’s a busy life, and there’s always something new to learn about new sensors or cables. We like the neighborhood, even if it gets a bit loud during the festivals. It’s a solid, honest business and we’ve been part of the local fabric here for a good number of years now. We're just regular people doing a technical job.
