Smiles Dental Clinic

We are over at 35A Old Ballygunge 1st Lane. Kolkata can be a bit crowded, and this lane is no different, but we’ve made a home for the clinic here over the years. It’s an older part of the area, which gives the place a bit of character, I suppose. The clinic is basically just a few rooms where we do our daily tasks. We don’t have any fancy brochures or big promises to give anyone. Most of our day is spent looking at teeth, writing notes in folders, and making sure the water lines are working right. It’s just a handful of us working here. We know the tea seller down the street and the people who live in the adjacent buildings. The waiting room has a few chairs and some old newspapers that have been sitting there for months. We don’t try to make it look like a five-star hotel; it’s just a dental clinic. Sometimes the monsoon rain makes the lane a bit messy and hard to navigate, but people still find their way to our door. We’ve been doing this for a long time, and the routine hasn't changed much at all. We open the doors, turn on the lights, and wait for the first person to show up. It's a quiet, practical kind of life we have here in Ballygunge, just focusing on the work that needs doing.
